2-time Olympic bronze medalist, Christine Sinclair was born on June 12, 1983. She was born and raised in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Her parents are Sandra and Bill Sinclair. She began playing soccer at four years old. At the age of 16, she competed at the 2000 Algarve Cup, for the first time on the senior national team. In 2005, she graduated with a Life Sciences degree, from the University of Portland (Oregon, USA). In 2013, Christine was given an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia and that same year was inducted to the Canada's Walk of Fame.
