Makeda's One Woman Show, "Love In Concert", has been selling out to crowds in the USA for the past decade, and is currently being developed as an episodic series for Television. After years of studying Musical Theatre, Opera, ballet, tap, jazz, violin and classical piano, Makeda traveled to New York City and received a BFA in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College while studying with Carlo Hester of the Metropolitan Opera. Makeda landed leading roles in the Off-Broadway productions of "Road" and "The Colored Museum" at the Theresa Lang Theater in NYC, directed by the late and beloved William (Bill) Bordeau. Makeda's album, "In The Atmosphere", made it on the ballot in 2 categories for the 2019 Grammy Music Awards: Best Contemporary Christian Album and Best Gospel/Performance Song. During the Verizon Wireless Gospel Music Competition, Marvin Sapp noted that Makeda's voice "reminds me of a young Kathleen Battle singing in the style of Porgy and Bess". Chanelle Hayes of Tri-ni-tee 5:7 added that watching Makeda sing was like "watching praise and worship on Broadway". Makeda graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pepperdine University with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, and attributes these studies in helping her create "intricate, holistic, and delightful characters" in Theatre, Film, and Television.
