Michael Winingham

Michael Winingham is a writer/director originally from St. Louis, MO. He is a passionate storyteller who primarily works in the Science Fiction, Action and Superhero genres. Michael's father Marvin, a horticulturist, and his mother Roberta, an art teacher, were hugely influential on Michael. His parents exposed him to an endless stream of movies from childhood as well as encouraged his artistic and creative interests. Michael's younger sister Jessica Laney is an actress, musician and drama teacher. Michael attended college at STLCC Meramec where he studied both acting and film making before working in the St. Louis independent film scene for over a decade where he produced over a dozen short films. In November 2012 Michael won the St. Louis International Film Festival's Cinemspoke Screenplay Competition for his screenplay Dead Mountain. Michael lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
