Aimee DuMars

Aimee DuMars began her life journey a bit differently than most. She never had a place she felt she could call "home," but she did benefit by observing human behavior everywhere she lived. It's part of what makes her such a willing and able actress by diving deep into the psyche of the soul of the characters she portrays. Aimee DuMars was born on August 22, 1977 in Enterprise, Alabama as Aimee DuMars Wyatt. Her parents are Juliet DuMars, a former police officer, and Kenneth Parker Wyatt, who is a successful business man. Her Mom is of French, Irish, English and Native American ancestry, and her father is of Black Dutch, Welsh, German and Native American ancestry. Aimee's parents divorced early on, so although she made no legal changes to her name, her stage name is in honor of her mother's last, since she was the one that primarily raised her. Aimee is the second oldest of four siblings. Matt being the oldest, her sister Beth and Clinton being years younger. Aimee has never been married, but knew in early childhood that she always wanted children. She has two amazingly talent daughters who also sing and act, Amaris Mier DuMars and Kaia DuMars Yoshii. Aimee considers herself lovingly independent by choice, and has primarily raised her girls on her own. However, she does plan on more children when she meets the man she desires to marry. Aimee moved around a lot growing up, which gave her a diverse range of adapting to new situations and people. She moved from Alabama to Lake Tahoe when she was around 18 months old. Then from there she moved to Phoenix, AZ around the age of 4. She spent most of her time in Phoenix moving from different suburbs just about every school year. She was never a huge fan of the desert or heat, so was refreshed when she could take vacations with her family during the summers to San Diego. She fell in love with the salty sea air and the seemingly laid-back nature of the people. Although, around the age of 15, she went to go live with her Father in Alabama, and that's when she dived into her longing to study acting. Although living in the south was a whole other world of wonder for her that she also hated, Aimee signed up for drama in High School, until the class got canceled shortly after. Yet thankfully the class transformed into creative writing with the same teacher. Aimee took second place in a creative writing contest and her awesome teacher infused drama in whichever way she could get away with. It was the beginning of her excitement to finally perform. During high school, Aimee also did some modeling, completed a few local runway shows, but she knew it really wasn't her calling. Having several diverse talents such as singing, dancing, acting and writing, along with her funny, deep personality, and bold mindset, at the age of 17, she would sneak into karaoke bars and get standing ovations from her deep, sultry voice. That kept her on her toes, but she diverged from this path as life will often take us to discover other incredible callings. This included Aimee moving back to Arizona around the age of 20 to be back with her Mother and siblings. As time went on, Aimee got involved in different types of jobs, traveled often, delved into various opportunities, and has continued college and education pretty much non-stop. She has always allowed life to purposely show her new depth of understanding, plus is an avid reader in leadership, spirituality and some deeply engaging fiction books. In addition to Aimee's passion to be in the arts, she has always had a knack to delve into the human psyche, loved people, and had a strong urge to get into healing. Around the age of 6 or 7, becoming a doctor appealed to her as well, yet this transformed from watching the poor quality of living she observed doctors go through, plus how their craft became limited through insurance and pharmaceutical policies. Instead she decided when she was in her early 20's to pursue massage therapy. Having taken additional training, she graduated as a Master Massage Therapist, then later around the age of 26, shortly after her first daughter was born, she went into school to become a Certified Herbalist. In between that time, with Aimee's drive to succeed, she spent three years immersed in leadership and mentor-ship training. It was during this time when she developed a strong knack for evolving her spirituality further, plus applying integrity and honor deeper into her existence. She knew it's something she wanted to share with others and eventually would. Aimee delved more into acting when she moved to Sedona, AZ in 2011. She had former acting classes and a private acting coach in Phoenix, yet she definitely wanted and needed more. She again started school through an acting program associated with the Zaki Gordan Film School. From there, she took acting courses under a wonderful teacher that had previous acting experience in L.A. It was here where she did several short films with the film school students, and developed further relationships that have continued today. Aimee has accomplished working on several short films and some web shows, and even got a main character role in a TV show that was going to be all about "Sedona," yet the production fell through for various reasons. Aimee took all this valuable life knowledge and combined in into her businesses and acting skills. Having a grasp of the body, mind, and emotional importance of health, plus understanding the powerful knowledge of herbs, she opened an office in Sedona, AZ and ran her herb consultant company from 2 locations. The time it took away from her daughters wasn't worth the trade, so she shut them down and formed a new plan. The most recent and rewarding was moving to California to be near enough to L.A. to start auditioning. From here she also decided to conform her herb consultant company Revolution Herb Development, and her product company "Wyatt Herb," primarily online. The rest is unwritten as she is finishing up her bachelor's degree in Bio-chemistry and on to further endeavors which include directing her own commercials for her products, and public speaking.
