Brendon Stuart Spiro, or Brendon Stuart Huxley, elsewhere, is an actor who began his career at age 7. He knew he was to be an actor then, attending a University of Cape Town play, the cast wear black refuse bags which torn off, reveal brightly colored costumes and all is abuzz with lights, music, voice and song. Brendon studied a degree in Acting at the University of Cape Town and the performers degree at The University of Johannesburg, (WITS). He also attended workshops in JHB, led by The Royal Shakespeare Company of the UK, working with Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Anthony Sher, Artistic Director of the RSC, Greg Doran and famous voice coach and head of voice at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Patsy Rodenberg. During this time, he was also a professional stage and event magician, with his own production, starting at age 7 and graduating from the College of Magic,(C.T), with numerous competition wins and trophies age 15. With a group of three, he ran The Black Sun Theater in JHB, S.A. The most famous and prestigious South African theater for playwright's staging world premieres, and critically acclaimed work. He has acted in many South African productions and commercials, one notably with now world-renowned Auteur-Director Brett Baily, whose Third World Bunfight company productions have been produced and acclaimed internationally, and staged, amongst others, at the Royal National Theater in London, receiving numerous international awards. Brendon attended the Shakespeare Course at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. He then won a place and attended the diploma program at one of the Top 15 Acting Schools in the UK, Drama Studio London; a founding member of the Federation of Drama Schools, accredited by the CDMT,( Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theater), validated by Trinity College. During this time Brendon met his great mentor, inspirational actor, and now colleague, Paul Gregory. A luminous, " tour de force" , with an amazing positive influence in Brendon's acting. Paul Gregory is both an actor and producer in Los Angeles. He passes on his outstanding expertise garnered from his prolific work on stage and screen. In his capacity as an actor, Paul was mentored by Sir Laurence Olivier and has been a member of both the Royal National Theater and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Paul's mentorship is augmented with the incredible person and legacy of Robert Brustein. Former head of both Yale and Harvard Acting Schools, Robert was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his contribution to the performing Arts by President Barack Obama. Brendon's goal is to make them, and all who contribute to his success extremely proud.
