Dave Byrne

Dave was born in Dublin on the 8th August 1975. Having trained as an actor in his late teens, Dave worked as a stage actor in London for several years before returning to Ireland to take up the position of Artistic Director in the performing arts school Inter Act School of Acting. He was also responsible for bringing the first UK performance arts franchise Theatretrain to Ireland back in 1998. Dave worked up until 2005 with InterAct School of Acting, before taking up a new role working with an Independent Television Production Company Lispopple Studios. Having produced series such as Irish Paint Magic, Relax with Watercolour, Celtic True Food, Trandash, At Home with Dave Willis all for TG4, Dave also Exec Produced a short film called "The Line" which opened the LA Irish Film Festival in 2010. In April 2013, Dave left his position with Lispopple Studios and set up a new company Gengon Media with his long time friends and colleagues Curtis Hanbury and Ovidiu Ciugulea, where he is now in preproduction on his first feature Film "Ninety Five".
