Omer Ben-Shachar

Omer Ben-Shachar is an award-winning director and writer born and raised in Tel-Aviv, Israel. In 2019 he won a Student Academy Award for his film Tree #3. Omer is a graduate of the American Film Institute and is now 1 of 10 directors selected to participate in the 2019 Viacom Viewfinder Directors Program, where he will shadow on a Nickelodeon TV series. Omer's honest, character-driven stories celebrate individuality and infuse comedy in our insecurities and fears of being outsiders. His latest film Tree #3 (2019) won the 2019 Student Academy Award, was nominated for a Student Emmy, won UrbanWorld's 'Best Young Creator Award', Palm Springs ShortFest's 'Audience Award' for Best Student Short, and the 'Best Student Short' at HollyShorts.
