Nicole Crisp (born in 1986) is an actress from Perth, Western Australia. She started acting training in between attaining her PhD in Exercise Physiology and then working full-time as a Research Officer at The University of Western Australia. In 2015, Nicole decided to focus her time on pursuing a full-time acting career and since then has been successfully attaining roles in a variety of films, documentaries, music videos and commercials. From a young age, Nicole has been extensively involved in sports and physical leisure pursuits, including gymnastics. She enjoys participating in both aerial (Silks, Hammock, Lyra and Trapeze) and ground-based (Hand-Balancing, Tumbling and Acrobatics) circus training to keep her fit, healthy and agile. In 2016, Nicole claimed the title of Professional Champion for her Aerial Silks performance at the Australian Circus Championships and trains, teaches and performs with Kinetica Circus. These skills also come in handy for her work as a Magician's Assistant and Stage Hand to Magician Peter Paxx, with a stand-out Aerial Silks performance in their 2017 Fringe Show, Beyond Reality 2.0: Magic and Illusion. With such an extensive physical background, it's perhaps not surprising that Nicole has a passion for working on film projects that require physical ability to supplement acting prowess. She is constantly looking for ways to make herself more desirable to work with and as a result, has trained stage combat under the guidance of Kyle Rowling at the Action Acting Academy in Sydney and plans to complete her Professional Stuntman Certificate in the near future, with her ultimate goal of being able to perform her own fight choreography and stunts on action and adventure films. Nicole keeps active in the industry by training fight choreography and filming short action films with a small team of passionate actors and film-makers (Action 99) in Perth.
