Mr. David VanderWaal has been Vice President of Marketing at LG Electronics U.S.A., Inc. since February 2015 and served as its U.S. Head of Marketing since July 2014. Mr. VanderWaal leads brand marketing activities for LG Home Entertainment and Home Appliance products, overseeing marketing, advertising, research and consumer insights, sponsorship, promotions, in-store merchandising, and digital marketing. For his business achievements, he was inducted in 2014 into the Point of Purchase Advertising International (POPAI) Hall of Fame He and his wife, Tina, a store window display creator, are the parents of Grace VanderWaal who won America's Got Talent at the age of twelve in 2016, singing her original compositions and accompanying herself on the ukulele. Signed to SYCO/Columbia/Sony, in November, 2017, the then thirteen-year-old released to universal acclaim her first full-length album of songs she wrote and performs, Just the Beginning. Termed by some as a prodigy possessing genius, Grace's talent was recognized shortly after release of her album as she was awarded the 'Rising Star' award at Billboard's annual Women in Music event, joining a long list of acclaimed winners. At thirteen, however, Grace was by far the youngest winner of the award, eight years younger than the next youngest recipient, Ariana Grande. Mr. and Mrs. VanderWaal also have another daughter, Olivia, three years older than Grace, and a son, Jakob, who is five years older.
