Jason Daniels (born in Pennsylvania, USA) is an American actor, educator and television presenter based in Indonesia. After graduating from The American University in Washington, DC, with a minor in Theater Arts, he traveled around the world, living for a time in Hawaii and Taiwan before eventually settling in Jakarta, Indonesia. There he has pursued his television and film career. His film roles include Tiga sekawan: Iiih... hantu...! (2013), Bajaj Bajuri the Movie (2014), Belok Kanan Barcelona (2018) and Influenza (2020). His role in the Indonesian soap opera, Upik Abu dan Laura (2008), aired across Southeast Asia. He was a main character in three sitcoms: Mantu-Mantu Morotin Mertua (2012), Jenderal Kancil (2013) and Andra dan Om Jin (2014). Reality programs include his breakthrough role in Bule Gila (2004), from where he derived his nickname as "the crazy white guy". He hosted the travel-reality program Turis Dadakan (2005-2007) and was the host of two seasons of Walk the Talk, teaching English on Indonesian television, sponsored by the US Embassy in Jakarta.
