James Koroni is drawn to explore the physically diverse human experience through idiosyncratic characters and the haunting cultural phenomenon within social justice, ecological challenges and the evocative inquiry of critical animal studies. Koroni is the founder and editor of Enforced Arch, an online publication, which follows the work of various movement-artists. He produced, directed and performed in Enforced Arch Dance's movement and trans-media presentation of, 'Alliance' Art and Activism', at the Manhattan Movement & Arts Center and toured internationally the following year. Koroni has completed 12 multimedia concert dance pieces and produces a growing list of web-series. He has worked with artists such as Madonna, Robert Delong, Son Of Kick, Icona Pop, Chappo, Anusha, Princess Superstar, Notic Nastic, Clara Lofaro and for major companies like Heineken, Peta, Aveda, Aclu and "Good Morning America". Koroni has appeared in many theater productions including those featured at The Fringe Festival, in New York City and Edmonton, Canada, as well as productions at the TADA! Theater and The Barrow Group Theatre. He performed original work by award winning playwright and director, Riley Thomas in the New York Musical Theater Festival, NYMF. Koroni has a leading role in the forthcoming Off Broadway production of Lemon Meringue. He was commissioned by award winning director Danielle Lurie, one of Filmmaker Magazine's '25 New Faces of Independent Film to be featured in a video art piece for Chicago's Beethoven Festival. Koroni's internships and administrative credits include 'Broadway Dance Center' under the International Student Visa Program with Director Bonnie Erickson and at Cynthia King Dance Studio as Cynthia King's Executive Assistant. He resides in New York City where he teaches dance and continues to study choreography, acting, improv comedy and photography.
