Award-winning interactive media maven, Michael Carbajal, was born in New York and lived in Washington, DC where he worked for NASA. While at NASA, Carbajal worked on documentaries for NASA Television and also developed interactive media features. The Mensa member also won numerous awards for the space agency such as: the Webby, Adobe MAX, Adobe Site of the Day (four times), and the National Design Award. His team also won a Primetime Emmy for the 40th Anniversary of Apollo special. While thriving during his tenure in government service, Carbajal became a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, initially joining its Interactive Media peer group. He serves on the Awards Committee and the Events Committee. In the private sector, Carbajal has worked for Google as a Senior Instructional Designer. Simultaneously, the entrepreneur has successfully transitioned into the production side of the entertainment industry as well. Carbajal is represented by UTA as a writer with several interactive show concepts in various stages of development. Carbajal's first TV deal was a documentary series with Original Productions/Fremantle, regarding Virgin Galactic. He is producing a docu-series on female celebrity boxer, Mia St. John called "Split Decisions." Another highly anticipated project for Carbajal revolves around Emmy Award-winning soap opera actor Kristoff St. John of CBS's "The Young and the Restless" fame and the St. John Foundation in effort to heighten awareness for patient rights in the mental health care community. The project is being developed and produced in conjunction with Mia St. John in memory of Mia and Kristoff's son who passed away in an untimely manner while fighting his battle with mental illness. Carbajal resides in Los Angeles.
