Robert Savo (born August 10, 1971) is a film director and producer. His most notable movie is The Savior film, which is the only cinematic feature film about the life of Jesus Christ in Classical Arabic language and with famous Arab cast. Born as the son of a famous Middle-Eastern director Victor Kamar, Robert grew up among cameras and movie making, where at the age of 14 he got his first job as a camera-assistant. At the early stage of his life he has built an extensive career working as a cameraman for television, locally and internationally. He worked for news, sports, entertainment, children's programs and commercials, with some of his employers being BBC, CNN, Fox News, ORF and NHK. During the years when he worked as a cameraman, Robert became more and more interested in the spiritual background of the Middle East. It was then that he decided to start working on filming 9 stories from the Bible. Part of the idea behind these movies was to created a bridge between Muslims and Christians. From 2003 until 2009 he filmed 9 movies based on different prophets from the Old Testament. The series is called The God's Stories, with a film cast consisting solely of Moroccan, Palestinian and Middle Eastern primarily Muslim actors. In 2012 Robert Savo started working on a big production called The Savior film. The movie is the first and only high-end production about Jesus Christ in Classical Arabic language with well-known Middle Eastern actors, such as Shredy Jabrin, Zoher Noubani, Mohammad Bakri, Yussuf Abu-Warda, Maisa Abd Elhadi, Nadera Emran and others. The movie was shot in Bulgaria and Jordan. The Savior film was premiered in Amman, Jordan in 2013 and since its release the movie has been broadcast in numerous countries worldwide.
