Ronald Grams

American professional wrestler known for his work for CHIKARA as Icarus. Debuted at CHIKARA's very first show "CHIKARA The Renaissance Dawns" on May 25, 2002 as Ichabod Slayne, a masked zombie gimmick as a member of the rudo (heel/bad guy) team the Night Shift with Blind Rage (Timothy P. Vassa) and Hallowicked. Blind Rage defeated him in a Hair vs. Mask match at CHIKARA's December 7, 2002, leading to him becoming Icarus. He formed Team F.I .S.T. (originally meant to stand for Friends In Similar Tights until the meaning was forgotten) with Gran Akuma (Edward Jones) in 2003 and they would stay a team until 2010. He would also compete for NWA Wildside, CZW, Jersey Championship Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Entertainment and many other promotions. Team F.I.S.T. would hold the PWE Tag Team Titles twice in 2005. Team F.I.S.T. turned rudo and joined the Kings of Wrestling, led by Chris Hero (Chris Spradlin) and Claudio Castagnoli). They added Chuck Taylor (Dustin Howard) to the team in 2007. Icarus and Akuma defeated Cheech Hernandez and Cloudy (Eric Downes) in the finals of the one-night tag-team tournament at "CHIKARA From Zero to Hero (& Castagnoli)," giving them the three points needed to challenge Hero and Castagnoli for the CHIKARA Campeonatos de Parejas. They won the belts at "CHIKARA Brick" on November 17, 2006 and would hold them for almost a year, losing them to Incoherence (Delirious (William Hunter Johnston) and Hallowicked) at "CHIKARA Bruised" on October 26, 2007. After the Kings of Wrestling dissolved at the end of 2007, Team F.I.S.T. stayed together and were very successful, making it to the quarterfinals of the 2008 King of Trios where they lost to their longstanding nemeses the Colony (Fire Ant, Soldier Ant and Worker Ant), and won the tournament a year later, defeating Team Uppercut (Claudio Castagnoli, Bryan Danielson and Dave Taylor). Team F.I.S.T. fell apart in 2013 due to evil incompetent Director of Fun Wink Vavasseur's nonsensical decision to stick Sugar Dunkerton (Sugar Dunkerton) on the team, leading to Johnny Gargano quitting the team and CHIKARA in general (which Dunkerton also did soon after). Icarus turned tecnico (face/good guy) at "CHIKARA Aniversario: Never Compromise" on June 2, 2013, which was the night of the shutdown. The "Ashes" videos showed him on a crusade to get the CHIKARA roster back together to fight against the amalgamation of heel groups that would come to be known as the Flood, who were tearing down the various Wrestling Is... promotions. Icarus defeated Eddie Kingston (Edward Moore) for the CHIKARA Grand Championship at the return show "CHIKARA You Only Live Twice" on May 25, 2014 and held it until he lost it to the heel-turned Hallowicked at "CHIKARA Afternoon Delight" on April 6, 2015. At "CHIKARA The Distant Future" on April 7, 2016, UltraMantis Black, possessed by Nazmaldun, the mysterious entity Hallowicked and Frightmare follow, cast a spell on Icarus, turning him rudo again and adding him to Hallowicked's group the HeXed Men.
