Ethan started acting shortly after his family moved from London to a small town in Oxfordshire called Weston-on-the-Green. After being noticed in a film at the Oxford Student Film Festival, he was appointed Media Officer of the Oxford Union where he had the opportunity to host Johnny Depp, Zoe Wanamaker, and Roland Emmerich. Spurred on by their collective encouragement and advice, he moved to Los Angeles, receiving a classical conservatory training at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Training included Stage Combat (armed and unarmed), Elocution, Laban technique, a range of dialects including: General American, Southern (rhotic and non-rhotic), Irish, Elevated Southern British, RP, Cockney, New York, Scottish, and German. Favourite roles include Shakespeare's Henry V, as well as the evil Lord Illingworth in Oscar Wilde's "A Woman of No Importance", directed by Ian Ogilvy (The Saint, Death Becomes Her).
