Romy Melhem is a Lebanese-Armenian actress, singer, and flamenco dancer. She studied violin since the age of 6 and had always kept a strong link with singing and theater. While completing her BA in Theater at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, she took part in the short film Behind the Window (2011), and played in various theater plays and award winning short films. Soon afterward she pursued her Flamenco passion from Beirut to Sevilla, at Fundacion Cristina Heeren DE Arte Flamenco (2013). Amongst her work is the feature film The Traveller (2016) , Status Quo (2016), The Incident (2017) , and Manivelle: The Last Days of the Man of Tomorrow (2017). During the 17th of October 2019 uprising, she co-wrote "Min Teshreen"; a mini web series with Balkoon.TV , in which she took part and composed the episodes' soundtrack. After a year, in 2020 she released the series' EP soundtrack. "Khimia'iya" (Alchemist) is the first single released from the new EP being created by the autodidact singer, songwriter, violinist, recording her homemade music album.
