Veemsen Lama

Veemsen Lama is an award winning British/Nepalese filmmaker who currently resides in London. His journey to filmmaking is a unique one. After working in the British armed forces for sometime, he had a gut feeling that he should be telling stories, and followed it. This led him to Ravensbourne where he completed Bachelor's Degree in Digital Film Production with first grade. While studying, he became fascinated by other sides of filmmaking, such as cinematography, which he has done for several short films, music videos and documentaries. He also realised that his passion as a director was to tell stories about love and hope, in order to inspire others in dark situations. However, because of his versatile nature and hunger to experiment and challenge himself, he also frequently engages with the horror, action, romance, and drama worlds. Recently, he returned to Nepal to shoot his latest short film, MAYA, which is currently in festival run. In addition to that, he is prepping for his debut feature.
