Ryan Robert Minford

Ryan Robert Minford was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Andrea Lea Armor and Robert Regis Minford. An athlete for most of his childhood, Ryan took his leadership skills to creating films in early 2009. His first short, in Memphis, TN was a 7-minute scene based on the book Shutter Island. And over the next 4 years, Ryan would complete over 100 projects from music videos to commercials to writing his first feature. His next chapter would take him from Memphis to Sarasota, FL where he completed a BFA in Filmmaking at Ringling College of Art & Design. There he completed 8 more short films, a commercial campaign for Krylon, was selected by the Television Academy as a top Director twice (2015, 2016), and finished as a producer on a web-series with Dylan McDermott and Justin Long. Coming out of school, and having produced 800 minutes of video content, he decided to work with world-renowned photographer, John Revisky, where he learned the art of the image with clients such as UNTUCKit, The Ritz-Carlton, and the Sarasota Film Festival. Then in 2016, Ryan arrived in Los Angeles to complete his MFA in Film Directing from ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena. He finished the program in record time while working with companies such as YouTube, New Republic Pictures, and Obscure MGK. With an MFA and 10 years in, he holds a resume much longer than most for his age. Ryan always says he loves being the youngest person in the room, and the day he's not...that'll be a scary day for sure.
