Yasheera Acevedo

Yasheera Acevedo (best known for her role as Debra on Midnight Dawn) was raised in Puerto Rico where she discovered her passion for theatre and performance arts through her aunt's theatre company MAPA Inc. She participated in and even directed some plays in High School as well as competed in her school's thespians league both in English and Spanish. She also studied classical voice at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music as well as finished her last two years of high school at music-magnet school ERA Escuela Libre de Musica under Voice and Piano major. She moved to Orlando to pursue her Bachelors in Theatre Arts and it was there where she was introduced to film through various commercials and student films, which set her on the path to pursue acting on screen. Yasheera also studied the Meisner technique under Yvonne Suhor at Arts Sake Studios and Lauren O'Quinn at Class Act Studios. She now lives in Atlanta, Ga pursuing her TV & Film career. Fun Fact: Yasheera speaks 4 languages; English, Spanish, Portuguese and American Sign Language.
