Jim Serrano is an American actor based in Orlando, Florida. He was born to Louis and Marjorie Serrano in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and has a brother and a sister. It was here he discovered his passion for acting at age 8 when his mother enrolled him in his first acting class at the venerable Oak Ridge Playhouse. Jim spent his teenage years in suburban Maryland focusing on the occasional student drama or experimenting in the then new art form of videography. He also spent much of his time active in sports as a cross-country runner and wrestler and was selected to be the varsity captain of both his high school teams. After relocating to Orlando upon graduating college, Jim's passion for acting was reignited many years later when a personal tragedy caused him to reevaluate his focus in life. Upon realizing he could continue to chase his acting dreams later in life, Jim began taking classes for improv, voice-over, and acting for stage and screen. He has studied advanced acting techniques under Rus Blackwell, the Meisner technique under Lauren O'Quinn-Burns and Yvonne Suhor, and advanced long form improv under Lauren Morris. Jim continues to pursue new challenges in television, film, and on stage.
