Blake was just NY-1's Pick of the week in August 2013 for his smash Joe's Pub Show in Downtown NYC. A native of Portage, Michigan, Blake Whyte Sings For Hope. Inspiring, healing, soulful, and sexy are just a few adjectives that describe Blake's real and heartfelt sound. Gregory Robson (Absolute Punk, 6/12/13) describes Blake's 14-track just released debut album "More Like Myself" as "Titanic, Uplifting and Absolutely Irresistible. Honest, self-aware and completely relatable, he is the entire package. Come to think of it, pop music could use a few more like him." His band of Paul and Alex Wyatt, Curtis Stewart, Amanda Gookin, and Benjamin Gallina is a tribe of accomplished lights burning bright all over NYC. Blake has played all around NYC including Lincoln Center, Highline Ballroom, The Living Room, Ars Nova, Rockwood Music Hall, Sullivan Hall, Bowery Electric, and the NYSE Tree Lighting Ceremony.
