A creative originator with 20 years experience in TV as researcher, content developer and writer, Katherine began her career researching and producing documentary projects focused on art, culture and science. Parallel to this, she worked as a script consultant for the Quebec government agency that funds both English and French language scripted projects. Her work with Spectra (now Echo Media), the Gemini, Banff Rocky, and International Emmy-award winning media organization, revealed her ability to think outside of ordinary conventions as she headed development on multiple projects, including Woman and Music (Global), Howard Shore - Creating The Lord Of The Rings Symphony, Amelia, New York Jazz Clubs and Cirque du Soleil Midnight Sun. This creative strength, along with a fierce discipline, allowed her to bring such projects as La Haine virtuelle (Digital Hate) to fruition for Télé-Québec; L'Oiseau de nuit, Guy Maufette for CBC; Women of Jazz for Arte and ARTV; Rockabilly 514 for ARTV and Bravo!, and Japan's Atomic Bomb for History Channel, amongst others. She brought her own edgy insight to the content production of Scars, a 26-part series for the Emmy nominated experimental show ZeD, the first UGC web and TV series broadcast by CBC from 2002 to 2006, as well as to the feature documentary The Secret Language of Girls for W Network. Katherine was Supervisor, Project Development, Creative Lab at Cirque du Soleil Media, a joint venture between Bell Media and Cirque du Soleil. She was responsible for creating and sourcing innovative new ideas for original media content. Prior to joining Cirque du Soleil Media, she delivered a comprehensive project for TFO/Discovery Science: researching, writing and co-directing the hour-long series Survie/Avoiding the Apocalypse, which explores how science could allow humankind to survive the worst environmental threats. Katherine is now a Creative Director and writing supervisor on an experimental web drama series titled Anna, which will be launched in 2018.
