Robbie Newell is an American born singer-songwriter and actress, class of 2017 Rutgers University Graduate, and native of West Orange, NJ. Robbie began her acting debut as "Lorelle" in the musical Dream Girls at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Robbie also attended Berklee College of Music where she studied theory, music composition, vocal pop performance, hip hop, and Motown music. She first gained notoriety by big time music executive Jeff Robinson who named her "Artist of the Week" on his company's (MBK entertainment) blog after seeing her cover of Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass." In 2012 she hosted the red carpet for the 2012 U.S. Open's "Arthur Ashe Kids Day" where she interviewed Carly Rae Jepsen, Mindless Behavior, and Rachel Crow. Robbie has sang backup for rock bands Styx, and ELO. Robbie is known for her roles in the films "Last Love Lost," and Paramount Pictures coming-of-age high school comedy "The Outcasts."
