Writer Madelaine Cantwell was advised in her childhood by her teachers and parents that, in order to get by in life, she'd have to stop daydreaming so much. Thankfully, she wasn't paying attention. Born in south-eastern Victoria, Madelaine spent many lunchtimes with her nose in a book and her head in the clouds, before moving to Melbourne to study Screen and Media. It was there, on countless sets of student films, that she discovered her passion for drawing others into her daydreams. She has since returned to her hometown to 'work on her folio', practicing the skills all great writers need for their best work: doing anything other than writing until her deadlines are really looming.
