Daniel M. Caneiro

Daniel M. Caneiro studied screen-writing and Film direction in C.E.C.C, Barcelona. In 2003 he became a founding partner of Aquelarre Films S.L. where he coordinated the development department of the production company until the year 2005. Between 2004 and 2009, he specialized in screen-writing and performed several courses in graphics software, digital effects and 3D animation. In the year 2009 he started working as a teacher of film directing, screen-writing & advanced post-production in various learning centers, highlighting the International University of Catalonia and Apple Inc. His latest short film, "Con la Comida no se Juega" ("Don't Play With Food"), written, directed and produced by him, has over 40 official selections and 5 won awards, including the 2nd prize in the Melies d'Argent competition, the Europe's most prestigious award by the "European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation". Also he won a screen-writing contest with his last feature film script named "Growing up at your 30's", a comedy about the pursuit of an idealized and nonexistent love, and the acceptance among the group of friends. Also among his last works there are commercials with brands like: Durex, Chevrolet, and the United Nations. He combines his work as a director and writer with the passion of teaching about it.
