Schonté Hamilton is originally from Chicago, Illinois. In her teen years she toured with a community theater company. She graduated from Lewis University with a dual Bachelor's in Broadcasting and Print Journalism and minored in Radio, TV and Film. Schonté has written several successful stage plays, short films and a feature film. Her stage play Queen Me was a finalist in the New York New Works Theater Festival debuting in front of the Broadway Community. Her short, The House with the Bright Light debuted in the Twin Cities Black Film Festival and was celebrated at the Grand Junction Film Festival. Schonté is also a talented actress appearing in several stage productions including the award winning "Doubt" and "Sister Act, the Musical." Schonté has also appeared in the Steve Harvey Show and TV One's Find Our Missing. Schonté received her actor training at Margie Haber Studios in Los Angeles, CA. Schonté is also a soul recording artist with two albums to date and several singles. She often performs under the name Tresey, a childhood nickname given by her parents. She resides in Southern California.
