Derry Felton was born on the 14th May 1992 in Northampton, United Kingdom. At the age of two years and nine months Derry contracted a disease which paralyzed him from the neck down leaving him wheelchair and ventilated dependent. Derry went onto study A-level film and from then on became an avid film writer. In 2013 Derry made his first short film "Dropping One" in which he used his support staff as actors. Derry followed "Dropping One" up with a short drama tilted "Stranger Danger". He graduated from the University of Northampton with a 2:1 in Film & Television Studies and Media Production and Moving Image. He completed a masters degree in Creative Writing at the University of Birmingham in 2018.
