At the age of five, Priya Vedula had already kicked off her singing career, winning her first local talent show. Throughout her teenage years, Priya participated in Indian Classical Odyssey and was asked to sing the American and Indian National Anthems for the Great Lakes Loons and the Detroit Shock. Mentored by her music teacher, Priya sang weekly at Sacred Heart Parish for school masses. In 8th grade, she was asked to deliver a rendition of "God Bless the USA" for a fallen soldier. At the age of 15, she became Gratiot Idol. She went on to play the lead female role of Gabriella Montez for the Gratiot County Players production of High School Musical; her first lead role in theater. Throughout college, Priya participated in numerous talent shows including Michigan's Got Talent and the MTalent competition at the University of Michigan; she won first place in both competitions. She won first place in the weekly Soaring Eagle Casino's Superstar competition. She sang the American national anthem on numerous occasions for multiple NBA teams include the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Detroit Pistons. She caught her first big break at the age of 20 through the hit reality show American Idol Season 13 where she made it to the group rounds. Recently, she performed the National Anthem at the renowned Redlands Bowl.
