Katherine Sainte-Marie is a writer and director of historical fiction, fantasy, and horror. She has worked extensively on adaptions of fairy tales and fables often interweaving these tales with social issues such as self-harm, addiction, and mental illness. Her newest short horror film was nominated for a Wes Craven Award at the 2022 Catalina Film Festival. In 2021, she won Showtime's Tony Cox Screenplay award at the Nantucket Film Festival for a gothic horror script. Her work has been featured in over 60 film festivals across ten countries including Sonoma International, Horrible Imaginings, Chicago Horror, FilmQuest, Spook Screen Ireland, and Canada's Terror in the Bay Film Festival.
