Alamada Karatihy

Alamada is a producer, actress, voice-over actress and musician living in Los Angeles. Originally from New Hampshire, she was involved in community theater from a young age, accepted into the prestigious Hampton Playhouse summer program at 14. A pianist and singer as well, she worked as a music director for the Exeter Players and accompanied and performed in musicals for the Portsmouth Playhouse and Encore Theatre Company. She also worked as Music Director for the Pilgrim United Church in Brentwood. Moving to Boston, she worked as an accompanist and music director for Emerson College theatre, Music Director for St. Joseph's Parish in Waltham, as well as in management at the historic Scullers Jazz Club. She also worked part time for the long-running Blue Man Group and the acclaimed Wilbur Theatre in Boston. She then spent a few years in NYC, making ends meet hosting at the Iridium Jazz Club in Times Square, bartending at the Hard Rock in Manhattan and at Brooklyn dive bars, moonlighting as a Brooklyn Realtor, and taking occasional acting classes at NYU. Once NYC proved to be too brutal, she moved back to Boston, working as a manager for a staffing agency - until the day she realized she just could no longer take another New England winter. She purchased a plane ticket to LA while working late one night on impulse, and never looked back. She was immediately hired as a PA at New Wave Entertainment, as well as a spokes-model for US Jesco, enrolled in acting and music classes at LACC and began producing short films and working as an actress and VO actress in commercials and animation. She is a producer on the vigilante biker gang documentary Tupamaro (2018), executive produced by Ed Asner, winner of several international awards including the Golden Palm Award for Best Film at the 2017 Beverly Hills film festival. She also starred in the award-winning short film When A Woman Loves A Woman (2016). Most recently, she narrated the New York Times Bestseller, The Barefoot Spirit, about the entrepreneurial couple who launched Barefoot Wine. The Barefoot Spirit is nominated for a 2020 Audie Award in the Business Audio category. She also portrays the eternally peeved and antagonistic Lucy Loon in the 2nd season of the series Real Acting (2019-2020). She is Creative Director for Sherwood Players Productions, working to develop original projects, and spearheading production workshops and classes for Sherwood's extended 300+ community.
