Shabazz Green was born in beautiful Newark, New Jersey and grew up in nearby Summit. He is the youngest son of Frank and Deborah Green, and the baby brother to an eldest brother, and two older sisters. An energetic child, he loved all things Batman, Disney and Professionally Wrestling. With all these influences, Green developed a natural flair for entertainment and storytelling, doing all he could to bring smiles to his family and friends. While in school, he channeled that charisma to excel both academically and athletically, focusing on Football, Basketball and various student groups. The stage, however, wasn't far behind. Citing professional wrestler and actor, Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, as a key influence, Shabazz would soon find the Drama Club to add to his already busy schedule. Occasionally torn between all his passions - the stage, the court, the field, and the classroom - he was relentless in all his pursuits. Declaring to never sacrifice an activity, yet adapt and achieve all his goals equally. Shabazz did just that, earning high accolades throughout his high school years. Green would then carry those same talents to the collegiate level, at Kean University in Union, New Jersey. He was now an Offensive Lineman with the Kean Cougars, and simultaneously focusing on a degree in Theatre Education. While in college, Shabazz began his professional acting career with Premiere Stages, a resident theatre company on Kean's campus. With the company, he entered the Equity Membership Candidate (EMC) Program. Through his four years at Kean, he managed to: perform in multiple Kean University Department of Theatre Productions, compete at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, receive academic scholarships and honors, achieve athletic awards and recognition, and even graduate Cum Laude. Soon after graduation, Shabazz would make his television debut in two television series': "School Spirits" (SyFy Network) and "REDRUM" (Investigation Discovery). His love for the stage never left, and he was then fortunate to perform in two national tours with the Omaha Theatre Company. In 2014, Shabazz returned to New York and became an official member of the Actors' Equity Association, making his Off-Broadway debut in "Philosophy for Gangsters" at the Beckett Theatre on Theatre Row. He continued performing at various regional theaters in the United States. Favorite locations include: Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Lake Dillon Theatre Company, New Freedom Theatre, Greenbrier Valley Theatre and Urban Stages. In 2017, he made his feature film debut in Jason Michael Brescia's "Romance in the Digital Age". He continues educational opportunities, as as a resident Teaching Artist with Premiere Stages, as well as coaching various workshops and lessons. Shabazz continues to pursue his performance career on stage and film. He has nothing but respect and admiration for this profession, and each day he is thankful for the opportunity to be a part of it. Fear Not!
