Sheren Abououf

Sheren Abououf Born in Egypt and grew up between Egypt and UAE, were she was exposed to multicultural environment that reflects to her vision and work. With the support and encouragement of her environment she trained in different places like Sky news T.V. and, ART T.V. She wrote and directed several films. Which includes a documentary film, "Ice Flower", that won Best Short Documentary at the Abu Dhabi film festival 2014 and the Jury Award in Sharjah Children Film festival in 2015. Without even knowing she was empowering women with her documentary, "Ice Flower", put the spotlight on the first female figure skater in the UAE as well as the first female in the world to skater wearing the "Hijab" (headscarf).She has also directed more than one short film. Most of her projects were filmed in both English and Arabic to reach a wider international audience. She is there to tell a unique story without fear of exploring different mediums to best tell the story.
