Arkus is an Indian writer-director presently based in United Arab Emirates. He is a postgraduate in communication management and started his career as a communication consultant to the Government of Gujarat, India. After his stint in the government sector, Arkus moved to advertising, working for Ogilvy & Mather and handling various brands like Vodafone and Tata Steel. Presently, along with working as an independent film maker, he also works as a producer for Radio Mirchi, UAE. Arkus is an alumnus of New York Film Academy, Abu Dhabi and pursues all forms of film making - narrative, documentary, animation and experimental. In 2016, Arkus' short screenplay 'Red Pearl' was chosen to participate in Arab Film Studio's script writing residential program held in co-operation with Dubai Film Market and Image Nation, Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, his short screenplay 'The Fruit Thief' was selected among some of the best screenplays in India for the residential masterclass of the Jio Mami 'Award For Excellence In Digital Content' in 2017. 'Hartom' - his last short documentary film has been produced under the select Arab Film Studio documentary residential program; a division of Image Nation, Abu Dhabi for which he won the Best Producer at Arab Film Studio Awards. In the year 2017, 'Hartom' won the best short documentary film at Whatashort Independent International Film Festival in India and was also awarded the 'Happiness, Positivity and Tolerance Award' at the Zayed University Middle-East Film Festival which was presented by Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the United Arab Emirates' Minister of State for Tolerance.
