Amber is a first generation Nigerian writer with a focus on comedy and a penchant for animation. Growing up in Los Angeles, she was surrounded by creatives who got paid to play make believe, she's finally figured out how to become one of them. Amber graduated from Humboldt State University with a degree in English with a focus in Creative Writing, and a minor in Communication. After graduating, she moved back to Los Angeles to take on a marketing job where she worked as a Copywriter and Social Media Supervisor. She then went on to attend Chapman University where she received her M.F.A. in Screenwriting. While at Chapman she penned the short film, SNOWBALL. It screened nationally and internationally and went on to win Best Film at the Black International Cinema Berlin Film Festival, and was a nominee for Best Comedy at the College Television Awards. Afterward she worked as an assistant at Buchwald Talent Agency before transitioning into writing full time. She completed her original animated pilot SNATCH DRAGONS AND CIGARETTES and attached WGA Writer/Producer, Evan Mirzai as EP. Amber continues to sharpen her comedy chops, she's taken sketch classes at UCB, comedy writing with Brent Forrester, and a Sundance Collab Course led by Jessica Sharzer. When she's not writing, she enjoys contemplating the metaphysical mysteries of the universe, masquerading as an alchemist, and long-boarding.
