Ashish Balraj Sharma is an Indian filmmaker known for his debut directorial short film 'Rage' which had a great run at film festivals across the country. It starred Jatin Sarna in the lead role of a man who is running late for his office and gets involved in an incident of Road Rage on the way. Ashish did his entire schooling from St. Xavier's School, Bhopal. During his college days in Gurgaon, he started doing theatre and became an active part of the Delhi theatre circuit. In 2011 he wrote and directed a short play 'Love Dosti aur Dhokha' as a part of the Short+Sweet theatre festival Delhi, and the play received maximum votes and was shortlisted among the top 10 plays which were staged in the Gala Finale, under the Audiences Choice section. He went on to direct plays in 2012, 2013 and 2014 editions of the same festival. Ashish co-wrote his first screenplay for 'A Perfect Murder' a seven minute short film produced for the 2012 Delhi edition of the prestigious 48 hours film project contest which won 5 awards, including best writing. His next screenplay 'Mazoor' also received positive response in domestic film festivals. He then wrote and directed his first short film 'Rage' which won a couple of awards, including Best Screenplay. Apart from writing and directing Ashish also has a passion for designing film posters and holds around 19 film poster design credits for films produced in countries like India, USA and UK.
