Ceej Jones is an American singer/songwriter. He was born in Storm Lake, IA but spent the majority of his life in Iowa City, Iowa. When Ceej was about three years old, both of his parents died in a car accident that his younger sister and him both survived. Not long after, Ceej's sister, Jennifer, and him were both adopted by their aunt and uncle. Ceej was born Christopher Andrew Rivera, but after being adopted, it was changed to Christopher James Jones. At a very young age, people began to call him "CJ" rather than use his full name. Eventually, his peers created the name "Ceej",which is pronounced "siege", as a nickname and it became what everyone knew him as. In 2008, Ceej Jones came out as a gay man to his family and friends. Ceej is a very open and honest person, and is proud to be an openly gay musician. Music and art was always a passion of Ceej's. In high school he participated in every musical performance, play, and speech event he could. For Ceej's high school graduation, his class nominated him to perform a song he had written called "Be True to You" for their graduation ceremony. After graduating from high school in 2010, Ceej's love for the arts remained strong. Ceej landed a variety of different acting roles for a community theatre company in Iowa City, IA. In 2014, Ceej made his feature film debut as the leading role of Darren Copper in the 2014 independent film "Mello". Even though Ceej had a passion for acting, his main interest was, of course, his music. January 15, 2016, Ceej released his debut full length album "Fighter"; a collection of 9 songs detailing the events before, during, and after a painful a 2-year relationship break-up. The album went in chronological order and was both heart breaking and empowering. Songs like "I Don't Need You Anymore", "Better World", and "With Me" dug deep into Ceej's soul, showing his true vulnerability and strength. On May 6, 2016, only 4 months after his debut album released, he released his sophomore album "Memory".
