Gilbert Jorgenson

Gilbert Jorgenson owns and operates Leo Marketing, a full-service Advertising Agency, and Video Production Company in El Paso, TX. Attending Cathedral High School, he met the mentor who motivated him and supplied the impetus that propelled him to make the most of his assets and become the best he could be. That man was Leo Cancellare, the former Principal at Cathedral HS. Leo's constant messages of motivation and determination continue to resonate every day at Leo Marketing. The name of Leo Marketing was chosen to honor his mentor's memory. Leo lost his battle with cancer during Gilbert's Junior year in high school. Gilbert began his career at the age of 18 by applying for an unpaid internship at KVIA-TV. This internship quickly blossomed into a 10-year career in broadcast journalism. During this time, he aspired to learn from as many professionals as possible, in every department. He soon became a successful photojournalist and was honored by the Texas and New Mexico Associated press several times for his work. Serving in the Promotions and Marketing Department for a period of three years, he periodically did freelance work. It blossomed into steady work and Gilbert decided he could have an advertising agency of his own and left KVIA. That's when Leo Marketing became an important part of the El Paso business community. Success demanded expansion, and his third expansion resulted in ownership of his current office building located near Downtown El Paso. In addition to his ventures in marketing, he also owns a video production rental company and has contributed to TV projects as a producer and Executive producer.
