Radik Tyulyush is an outstanding musician from The Republic of Tyva. He was born in Solchur, Övür province of Tuva, on the border with Mongolia. Already in his late school years and with schoolmates, Radik's started a pop rock band YER. It became popular in Tuva in 1993. Later there were a five-years long break, and YER returned to the stage in 2009. Since 2000 till 2004, Radik Tyulyush has been a member of Tuvan ethno-rock band Yat-Kha led by Albert Kuvezin (BBC Radio 3 Award for World music, 2002). Radik's opinion: "Yat-Kha's music is a very interesting synthesis of rock and Tuvan traditional music. Time with Yat-Kha was unique. Radik appears at Yat-Kha's albums In Europe. "Music of Yat-Kha and Huun Huur Tu is different and with a different approach to roots. Huun Huur Tu's albums with Radik's participation: Mother-Earth! Father-Sky! (2008), Eternal (2009) and "Ancestors Call" (2010). Along side with work in Huun Huur Tu, Radik develops other projects. He released a solo album Chalama in 2013. There is a project with the same name, made in collaboration with Sergei Kolesnikov (a guitar) and Gennady Lavrentiev (a violin, tabla, drum). Radik tours both with Huun Huur Tu and solo. He is available also with projects Chalama and YER. Radik is an experienced throat-singing tutor. He has developed workshops for both professional and amateur audience. He finds the right approach to students, regardless to their age, gender and experience.
