Born in Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania, Charlie Cakes grew up in Oman. Charlie grew up and attending the formerly known Muscat Private School. It was here that Charlie discovered a love for the creative arts studying creative writing and drama, after graduating high school Charlie found herself calling Malaysia her new home. Charlie featured in her first ever commercials and first Malaysian movie entitled 'Monalisa' directed by Stu Zardin. Charlie missed the opportunity to watch herself on television since she was busy attending class. Charlie Cakes lived in Malaysia for four years before moving back to Oman. After receiving her Bachelor's degree in Mass communication she landed an internship at the Oman Observer, months later she was a columnist and radio jockey. The sudden death of Charlie's mother prior to Charlie's career as an intern had left her with a gnawing feeling to pursue the arts. She left behind a more stable career as a columnist and radio jockey to forge her own path on to the thrilling and fulfilling pasture of acting, comedy, voice over and Youtube. Along her journey Charlie has been said to have met and worked with "some of the most incredible people on the planet". Looking to extend her "incredible work family and get busy on another soul gratifying project in the near future." Now residing in North Hollywood Charlie Cakes is now a thriving artist establishing her career as an artist and entertainer.
