Cassandra Chan is a media professional, who wears multiple creative hats. As a film crew member, mainly in line production, she has worked on various feature films, both independent and Hollywood productions, namely "Contagion" and "Transformers 4". As a producer and director, Cassandra has garnered some accolades for several documentaries. "Tagspotting", her first short documentary about graffiti artists in Hong Kong, was short listed for screening at several film festivals locally and abroad. "The Vagabond Project", a travel web series covering the subcultures of Hong Kong, Macau and Beijing, won the Webby Award in 2013. "Sino Philes", a mockumentary web series and film revolving around the social conflicts between Hongkongers and Mainlanders, garnered an Award of Merit at the Accolade Global Film Competition in 2016. As a branded content provider at Slate Takes Ltd., a boutique visual media company that she co-founded, Cassandra has a slate of Full- and Ultra-HD productions under her belt. From corporate videos and commercials to live broadcasting and film fixing, her diverse clientele includes such brands as Nissan Infiniti, Credit Suisse, Red Bull, Marriott, Jones Lang LaSalle, De Beers, Asia Tatler, Cosmopolitan, SKII, Macquarie, and Jack Morton. As a journalist, Cassandra was the founding editor of The List, a women's how-to magazine, and subsequently books editor, at Asia City Publishing. She then took on the role as editor of Daily 7 and Daily 10, two children's newspapers, before joining NecesCity, a men's lifestyle guide, as founding editor. She has also contributed feature articles on art and film to Muse magazine.
