Daan Jansen is a producer from South Africa known for his work as a producer on ABCs The Bachelor, Show-Me Chefs, and Counting to 1000. Daan Jansen came to the United States on a swimming scholarship from Missouri State University, where he received his Masters in Administration with a focus in producing and screenwriting. He is a member of the Television Academy and in 2018 he was recognized for his work by BAFTA and selected into The BAFTA Los Angeles Newcomers program. He created and produced two seasons of the television show Show-Me Chefs, a cooking competition show where chefs battle it out is knockout rounds to be crowned the champion. The show was recognized by The Television Academy Foundation and also won two regional Emmys from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) awarded Daan the top Award of Excellence for the series, and over two seasons, the show won an additional five awards. His short film Counting to 1000 won several awards and was shown at several film festivals such as the Toronto Independent Film Awards, The Kansas City International Film Festival, and the 12th Annual Central Florida Film Festival. At the Worldfest Houston 50th International Independent Film Festival, Counting to 1000 was one of only a few selected films out of 4,500 entries to win the Gold Remi Award. Daan currently is a producer on ABC's prime time show and one of the most successful reality television show in the world, The Bachelor. While continuing with the franchises newest spin off show, Bachelor Winter Games, Daan produced and directed the feature film Missed Take that is currently in post production.
