Elliot Leung (aka LH1) has composed the score for 3 of the top 10 highest-grossing non-English films with his films grossing over $2 billion USD. His music has been described as "audio-graphically visual" by The Standard, and "invigorates life" by Film Inquiry. The South China Morning Post observed Leung as "a seasoned composer who enhances the magic of cinema" and a composer who writes "evocatively with flair and romance." A Forbes 30 under 30 class of 2022 inductee, Leung is best known for his blockbuster symphonic scores, most notably for the highest grossing non-English film of all time, The Battle at Lake Changjin. The score was highly successful and won a Huabiao Award for best original score. Leung's prowess in combining electronics and symphonic colours are showcased in his other box office breaking films such as Operation Red Sea, Water Gate Bridge and The Rescue. His musical versatility also saw him composing for Disney+ series Anita and comedy Great Expectations. Leung's expertise in hybrid orchestral scores also saw him composing for popular video game titles like Dragonheir: Silent Gods by Bytedance and LifeAfter: Season 3 by Netease Games, Honour of Kings by Tencent Games which he won two Game Audio Network Guild Awards for "Best Audio for a Casual or Social Game" and "Best Main Theme." His upcoming work includes the highly anticipated first-person shooter Six Days in Fallujah by Victura to be released on Playstation, Xbox and PC and and Freelance, an upcoming Hollywood film. Never content to work only in his isolated creative space, Leung also enjoys seeing his works performed in many prestigious concert stages. His concert suite from "Operation Red Sea" was performed by the China National Symphony Orchestra in the National Centre for the Performing Arts in 2018, and was then performed to open the 8th Foshan Film Festival in 2019. His Symphony No. 1, The Metaverse is a multimedia symphony in 4 movements which was premiered by the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and released by Sony Classical in 2023. His chamber music, particularly "Quintet No. 2, Gardiner Expressway" commissioned by the RTHK Chamber Soloists, has been loved by many, both performers and listeners.
