Sean Richards is an American Producer, Writer & Actor. Sean grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana taking in the movie going experience from an early age with his father in the 1980's. At that time, Sean fell in love with the magic storytelling and escapist aspect of cinema. One of his earliest movie going experiences was when he 5 years old, seeing E.T. on the big screen multiple times in 1982. Also in the summer of 1982, he got his first taste of the horror genre when he was up one night after hours and noticed his parents & their friends intently watching a film in the living room where they screamed and jumped often. Instantly, he was intrigued. That film was Friday the 13th (1980). A year later, he experienced Return of the Jedi in the theater and was hooked. From that point forward, he knew he wanted to get involved in cinema at some point in his life, some how. In 4th grade, he portrayed the father in a Spanish play that was in a city wide competition in his home town of Fort Wayne, IN. The play won first prize. He went through the rest of primary school with multiple courses where he was able to express himself as a creative artistically & passionately as a writer but that still didn't satisfy his urge to pursue acting in TV & film. Through college, he did his due diligence in pursuing a career while living in areas that did not support film in Indiana & then in Florida. After achieving his MBA in 2012, Sean relocated to the Indianapolis area, got on board with a talent agency and did some commercials. However, the work was few and far between. In April 2013, a man Sean had met and talked with on various occasions, Richard Brooker, suddenly passed away at 58 years old. Richard was the first man to portray the hockey mask as the iconic horror character Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th horror series. Richard's passing combined with Sean's on location photography of part 3 set where Richard's film was made is what inspired Sean to do Friday the 13th part 3 - The Memoriam Documentary (2017). Sean relocated to the Los Angeles area in 2014 and has been pursuing acting more fully since his documentary went into post production. He is interested in portraying all types of different characters in any type of genre of film. Since early 2016, Sean has acted in numerous short film & commercial productions portraying a variety of characters from doctors, to police officers and even a real life murderer in an episode of the new TV documentary series "I Married A Murderer." Further, he has worked on various television shows including Goliath, SWAT, Code Black, Bosch, People Magazine Investigates & Westworld, just to name a few. Finally, he has also worked behind the scenes on various productions including the horror short film Never Hike Alone (2017) & Life Support (2018).
