Mikhail Saburov

Mikhail Saburov is a Los-Angeles based writer and director. His short film BOUND premiered at the 2020 Oscar-Qualifying Rhode Island International Film Festival. Mikhail's most recent short film LIKE US premiered at the AFI Fest Conservatory Showcase and was acquired for distribution by sci-fi streaming platform DUST. Mikhail's prior short films screened around the globe scoring multiple prizes and nominations as well as acquiring international distribution in the UK, US, Germany and Japan. Mikhail Saburov came to filmmaking after performing on stage and directing plays for over 10 years at a local youth theater in Yekaterinburg, Russia. After moving to the US in 2013 Mikhail graduated from School of Visual Arts, and, most recently, AFI Conservatory.
