Tiki Bob Brooks

Robert "Tiki Bob" Brooks was born in Charleston, South Carolina and discovered the music and limited scene of the Tiki/Polynesian/Exotica sub-culture in 1994. His knowledge on the subject grew exponentially along with the number of people who came to discover and participate in the "Tiki Scene." He likes to say that he has "been on safari exploring the World of Tiki" since the very beginning. He is passionate about spreading the Spirit of Aloha of the Tiki Ohana (family) to all those interested. He has enjoyed writing and contributing to various articles, lectures, magazines, and books about all things Tiki. He was interviewed and featured in the PBS documentary "Plastic Paradise: A Swingin' Trip Through America's Polynesian Obsession," which details the sub-culture known as Tiki.
