One of her greatest goals is creating art which represents authentic LGBTQ+ individuals and brings more awareness to queer voices. Recently, she won "Best Director of a Feature Documentary" at the NICE International Film Festival 2018 in Nice, France, for her film "All There Is". She was chosen by Natasha Lyonne herself to be featured in Season 1, Episode 6 of "High Fidelity" on HULU, starring Zoe Kravitz. She was also featured in a music video shot in the same Yonkers castle Beyonce shot "Irreplaceable". Her expansive theatre credits include playing Puck in "Let's Play: A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Gene Frankel Theatre, Doreen in "Poor Boys' Chorus" at the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival, and #14 (Alex) in "The Wolves" by Sarah DeLappe. You can also find her in a commercial for Island Dental Associates (and hear her voice as the voiceover). As a child - raised in Fort Worth, TX - Rae was an artistic creator, embracing her vibrant imaginative worlds. From backyard villages and living room grocery stores to choreographed dances and countless original plays and skits. Attending Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts, she was accepted into Advanced Theatre (the Meisner Technique). Throughout high school, she participated extensively in theatre and film in the Dallas/Fort Worth area - Stage West Theatre, Plaza Theatre Company, Scott Theatre, and more. During the 2015 UIL One-Act Play Competition, FWAFA'S production of "Greetings!" by Tom Dudzick advanced to Regionals, with Rae winning 3 individual awards at separate competitions for her performance as Randi Stein. That same year, Rae's original monologue "Facing the Facts" won the Neighborhood Play Competition in 2015, and was produced at Stage West Theatre. In 2014 and again in 2015, Rae was awarded the coveted "Outstanding Theatre Student" at the Annual Awards at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts - including a scholarship. Upon graduation at age 18, she moved to New York City to attend the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she graduated from in April 2017. During summer 2016, she attended The Performing Arts Project (TPAP), a 3-week Musical Theatre Intensive, working extensively with Gavin Creele, Susan Blackwell, Deidre Goodwin, Margo Seibert, Nick Blaemire, David Furr, and Cameron Adams, among many others. Her life in New York City has lead her on journeys in Palm Springs, California, Portland, Oregon, Missoula, Montana, then on to The Netherlands, Ireland, France, and even Bali, Indonesia. She is ready for wherever life, acting, and art end up taking her. While known for her charm and passionate persona, Rae Larz is most recognized for her enjoyment of a simple cup of tea and a good book - present and open to the unexpected adventures awaiting her every single day.
