Kevin Dray was born on the 16th of October 1986 in the mellow city of Bergen op Zoom in the south of The Netherlands. Blessed with an innate sense for music, rhythm and percussion, Kevin mastered playing drums at the age of six. While growing up he developed his skills in professional dancing and acting and later on began writing song lyrics. In 2002, he started with his first electronic dance productions and eventually stepped behind the decks as a professional DJ, with a strong focus on electro house and progressive house. Enter the year 2014 and Kevin Dray is looking forward to a promising future. The early years of Kevin's career basically laid the foundation for his love of dance in general and house music in particular. It all began with a drum set when he was still a kid. Without any training or education, he saw his friend's setup and just knew how to play it. From the drums he went to percussion, keyboards, piano, guitar and even the trumpet. In the meantime he kept going down the path of professional dancing and made it into the dance crews of major acts like Brainpower, Partysquad, Ali B, Yes R, Daryll & Sjaak and many others. All these dance assignments, combined with his acting skills, eventually got him into the cast of the musical version of 'Crusade in Jeans', which took him to over a hundred theatres in both Belgium and the Netherlands. Kevin's track record didn't go unnoticed and later on he landed one of his first key dance performances at the Dutch Governmental Palace, the 'Binnenhof' in The Hague, during an exclusive live performance of Tiësto for dance4life, the international movement to stop the worldwide spread of HIV and AIDS. Despite Kevin's huge workload, he still managed to secure the time to fine tune his skills in the studio and in 2010 he reached the point where his productions really gained momentum. One of the first acts that requested Kevin's services was Dioni Jurado, known from the boyband 'B Brave', who performed at the Junior Songfestival with the track 'Ik Wil Jou'; produced and written by Kevin. In 2012 Kevin launched his acclaimed single 'Take My Hand' - a song produced for dance4life. The song was secured by Slam FM for their Winterdance 2012 compilation, reached the high rotation playlists of Radio Decibel and Fresh FM, found its way to the Slam FM Talenthour and was supported in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, America, Italy and China. The last two years have been full of exciting developments for Kevin. 'Take My Hand' made it to the number 1 position of the Ddance DJ Top 1000; international clients such as ABN/AMRO approached him to act in their commercials and more new artists approach him to either produce their music or write lyrics for them. Kevin also delivered various mind blowing live DJ sets, most notably at the annual 'Breda Barst' festival and at the Maassilo in Rotterdam. Kevin is currently working on a new project called 'Happiness' with famous female vocalist Roxanne Hazes and the track is set for release in spring 2014. Kevin is determined to turn this year into a big success together with the audience: "I like to put my emotions in my songs and share it with the people on the dance floor. My passion for music gives me a drive for perfection and I can truly say that working this way has given me my own unique sound. Entertaining party people that all have the same love for electronic dance music, is what I love best and it's just fantastic to take everyone with me into my future - I am ready to please the crowds!"
