Charles Waters

Charles Waters is an Actor and Children's Poet. He started his acting career in New York performing on stage in various productions. His on-camera work includes a guest star appearance on TV series KEVIN CAN WAIT, as well as commercials for: VERIZON, FRIENDLY'S, HOME DEPOT, SIMMONS MATTRESSES, TOBACCO FREE FLORIDA and the FLORIDA LOTTERY. He has also appeared in short films and worked for Walt Disney World at the AMERICAN IDOL EXPERIENCE and ESPN WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS. As a Children's Poet, his work has appeared in various textbooks and anthologies including: AMAZING PLACES edited by Lee Bennett Hopkins, THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC BOOK OF ANIMAL POETRY edited by J. Patrick Lewis and THE POETRY FRIDAY ANTHOLOGY SERIES edited by Sylvia Vardell and Janet Wong. His first book is CAN I TOUCH YOUR HAIR? Poems of Race, Mistakes and Friendship (Lerner/Carolhoda 2018) co-written with Irene Latham.
