Jamison Smith

Jamison was born in Waukegan, IL, to Kendall Smith and Helyn ("Ceil") Smith. He attended schools in suburban Chicago and in Culver, IN, before continuing his studies at the University of Denver. In 1979, he moved to Vail, CO, and after 17 years of living in "poverty with a view", moved his family to Bend, OR. In 2008, Jamison and his second wife, Lora Buckles, settled in the Pacific seaside community of Florence, OR. His parents were active in the Waukegan Community Players, and as a child, Jamison had walk-on roles in Brigadoon, (with his sister, Jennifer), Look Homeward Angel, and other shows throughout the early 1960s. He stayed active in school productions including The Mikado and Antigone, and then "life got in the way". With the exception of a turn as Mr. Jordan in Heaven Can Wait in 1985, Jamison went nearly 40 years before reigniting his passion for the performing arts. Since 2011, he has appeared onstage or worked backstage on a dozen theatrical productions. All Hell Breaks Loose (2014) is his movie debut.
