Andi Shu Hester (she/her) is a Half-Chinese comedy writer/performer bilingual in Mandarin Chinese. While at UCLA, she studied abroad in China three times. Two days after graduating, she moved to Beijing on a one-way ticket and somehow became a travel show host. She also hosted a travel show in Australia for a month, during which she scuba-dived and bungee-jumped. (Don't tell her mother.) Andi has studied improv at UCB and Groundlings, and competed in rap battles as Lil Dumpling. She's extremely proud and slightly obsessed with her Chinese heritage. Driven by media's lack of genuine Asian representation during her upbringing, Andi writes diverse female-led, comedy-forward stories that center on understanding, embracing, and celebrating one's otherness.
